I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, and was part of the first generation of ‘Ritalin kids’ in the 1990s. I understand the toll these labels can take on a child’s self-esteem…on a family…on a marriage.
It is frustrating to grow up struggling with social, behavioral, or academic issues. As I grew older the medications I took interfered with mood and my sleep. More were added to combat these effects. By the time I was in college I was taking the medications not to focus, but to wake up and wind down. Fortunately, I found my calling in chiropractic, and was able to change the path I was going down.

Dr. Carrie grew up in Naples, FL graduating from Barron Collier High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honors from the University of South Florida in 2009. While earning her degree, Carrie took a job for a local chiropractor her senior year. During that year she got to experience firsthand the amazing changes that chiropractic care was making in people’s lives.
